Vietnam offers visa exemption to citizens from 24 countries, and E-Visa to passport holders from 80 countries. Below is all information for Vietnam visa for your reference.

Vietnam Visa Exemption

Nationals of certain countries may visit Vietnam without visa for a period of time, hereunder is the list of countries and regions that have Exempted Visa to Vietnam.

Remarks:

  • British National Overseas (BNO) passport holders are not exempted from the 15-day free Vietnam Visa because they are British nationals and Commonwealth Citizens, but not British citizens. Hence, it is required to get a Vietnam Visa before entering Vietnam.
  • Foreign passport holders to Phu Quoc Island are exempted from Vietnam Visa requirements for no longer than 30 days. If they transit through other international boundary gates in Vietnam to wait to transit into Phu Quoc Island, they are still eligible for this exemption regulation.
  • APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders with valid passports are exempted from Vietnam Visa for no longer than 60 days.

As updated regulation from March, 2020, regular passport holders from 24 COUNTRIES below DO NOT need a tourist visa for Vietnam:

For other countries, they have to apply for Vietnam Visa Requirement, regarding to both single entry or multiple entry to Vietnam. They can get E-visa online, Vietnam Visa in Vietnam Embassy or Visa on arrival.

Vietnam E-Visa:

Vietnam E-visa is a kind of visa issued to foreigners by Vietnamese Immigration Department via electronic system. It has validity for stay up to 30 days, single entry.

E-visa fee is paid via electronic payment gateway as prescribed by the Immigration Department. It is non-refundable even if application is refused.

Essential documents:

  • Original Passport with at least 6 month of valid and about 6 blank pages
  • Visa fee based on the policy of the Embassy or Consulate in their own countries

Essential documents:

  • Soft Copy of passport with at least 6 month valid
  • 2 photos 4*6cm
  • Cash of USD25 for stamping fee at airport
  • Colorful Print-out of Visa Approval Letter (booked via Travel Agency)
