Visit street stalls, back kitchens, and countryside homes to eat authentic dishes that local families prepare themselves. These are places where menus don’t exist, so you’ll get a unique insight into Cambodian cuisine and why Siem Reap is so much more than the Angkor Wat temples.
After being picked up at your hotel, visit a hole in the wall joint that redefines street food at one of Siem Reap’s oldest street-side restaurants. Everything we eat on the tour is produced, grown, or caught locally in Siem Reap using techniques that have existed for generations. It’s fresh, safe, and flavorful!
We’ll continue at stops where everything is off-menu and in the back kitchens. These are family recipes that have been around hundreds of years from people that have settled here far before Siem Reap became a tourist town. Try charcoal-grilled water buffalo stuffed in grape leaves, grill your own local BBQ, and enjoy fresh-water fish caught the same day.
Cruise through the back-streets of Siem Reap and visit a local village outside of town to take in the sunset views. We’ve worked with local families to get food that is off-menu, highlighting what locals actually eat. You’ll see the way people live, and get to be part of it for an evening.
Enjoy unlimited beer (along with water and soda) during the tour and finish at a secret speakeasy bar that focuses on local ingredients and flavors to create unique drinks. Then we’ll drop you off back at your hotel or wherever you’d like to go next!
