Day 1
Day 1 : Vientiane Arrival

On arrival in Vientiane, you will be welcomed by the local tour guide  and transferred to your hotel in the country’s charming capital, with its laid back riverside ambiance  and alluring monuments. In the afternoon, enjoy strolling around the hotel area or along the riverbank area where you could view the sunset over the Mekong. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2
Day 2 : Vientiane – Nam Ngum (B/L)

Today you will travel to the picturesque Nam Ngum Reservoir and the archaeological site of Vang Xang. Take a panoramic two-hour boat trip on the lake through serene beaches and ideal swimming spots. Then treat yourself with some snacks for lunch. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 3
Day 3 : Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B)

Take a short flight early in the morning from Vientiane to Luang Prabang. This former royal capital, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to colonial era buildings, tranquil tree-lined avenues and friendly Laos’ people. In the afternoon is at leisure to explore this peaceful city situated on a peninsula formed by the confluence of two rivers. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4
Day 4 : Luang Prabang – Wat Xieng Thong – Wat Visoun – Royal Palace (B/L)

Today you’re off to explore the rich culture and history of the former Lao capital as you visit temples, museums, art centers and hidden alleys. Visit the ordination halls of temples such as Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Visoun. Then walk through the historic former Royal Palace Museum as a residence for King Sisavang and explore the diverse cultures and traditions of Laos’ hill tribes at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 5
Day 5: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou – Whiskey Village (B/L)

For early risers, you can join the local people in the special dawn visit as they gain merit by making food offerings to the local monks on their daily alms collection. As the procession of saffron robed monks passes by, people place a small serving of fresh sticky rice into their bowls. Making an alms offering is a deeply spiritual part of everyday life that highlights the spiritualism for the people of Laos and it would be incomplete without experiencing this solemn act in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a two-hour boat trip up the Mekong River, passing many small villages with women panning for gold and children playing on the banks, to the limestone Pak Ou caves. For hundreds of years, it is a destination for local pilgrimages and devotees also deposit their own Buddha statues. On the return journey, stop for a short while in one of the Whiskey and Waving Vllages. These villagers along the river’s banks have made a living by trading hand-woven cloth and stoneware jars, and brewing a particularly strong rice whiskey called “lao-lao” for centuries. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 6
Day 6: Luang Prabang – The Ethnic Minority Villages – Kuang Si Waterfall (B/L)

Today you’re up to discover the Luang Prabang countryside by visiting to beautiful waterfalls and ethnic minority villages. Gain valuable insight from the unique cultures and traditions of Laos’ hill tribe people, go swimming in the turquoise water of Kuang Si Waterfall and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the serene surroundings which is the perfect way to experience the rural Laos.
