Bus: If departing from Hanoi, there are daily buses, departing from Giap Bat Station.

  • What to do in Ninh Binh?

Tam Coc Rice Fields – Bich Dong Pagoda Complex:  proudly named as “Ha Long Bay on land”, Tam Coc is famous for splendid landscape with limestone grottoes and historical relics from 13th century in Tran Dynasty. Tourists can visit by sampan boat, cycle or climb up the mountains to explore its magical natural beauty there.

Trang An Landscape Complex: a UNESCO heritage site, is a mysterious set of limestone karst cliffs covered by forests, temples, valleys and approximately 50 impressive caves. It takes visitors about 2 hours to enjoy this fascinating scenery by a boat ride.

The Van Long Natural Reserve: Being the largest waterlogged nature reserve of Northern  Delta, Van Long has a system of pristine landscape and the great biodiversity of various species, even in the Vietnam’s Red List. Visitors will spend about 1 – 1.5 hours to discover this amazing spot through karst mountains and mysterious caves.

Thung Nham Bird Park: Also known under the name Thung Chim, Thung Nham bird valley is the home to about 50,000 birds of 46 species of birds. Surrounded by mountains, tropical forest, many valleys and beautiful caves, visitors will be immersed in the wildlife with fresh atmosphere and bird’s singing.

Cuc Phuong National Park: Being the first national park in Vietnam and bounded among three provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Cuc Phuong has a population of abundant flora and fauna, including endangered species. There is a protected old-growth forest with tropical forest ecosystem diversity here and a number of programs such as hiking, adventurous travel, climbing, etc for visitors. And its convenient location helps travellers easily to visit other attractions such as Bich Dong, the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, Sam Son Beach.

Bai Dinh Pagoda: Bai Dinh is the largest religious complex in Southeast Asia with several temples and over 500 impressive carved Buddha Satues. Usually visitors visit internal pagoda by electric car, climbing to the top to have an amazing panoramic view over the the Ninh Binh province.
